As a Certified WBE, EnviroControl Systems was deeply honored to participate in the renovation and addition to the Mary L. Cook Library on Old Stage Road, Waynesville.
Dr. Mary L. Cook founded the Waynesville Library in 1917. In 1961 the Waynesville Library was renamed in her honor.
Mary Cook was born in a log cabin in Waynesville, and was one of the first girls to graduate from Harveysburg High School. First earning a teacher degree, she later became Dr. Mary L. Cook in 1908 when she earned her medical degree. Traveling by horse and buggy, Dr. Cook tended to families throughout the Waynesville/ Harveysburg area for decades.
EnviroControl Systems removed aging mechanical systems from the current library building, and installed state-of-the-art split systems and exhaust fans for the comfort and safety of library patrons.
