The Ensemble Theater has quickly emerged as the “cornerstone of Over-the-Rhine’s Vine Street corridor renaissance.” This premiere theater destination underwent an amazing renovation in 2018 and EnviroControl Systems was proud to play a part. This intimate and visually striking theater gives patrons a first look at new productions – not on stage anywhere else. But, it’s about more than just theatrical premieres for them … the Ensemble Theater also offer apprentice and intern training programs; designed to give recent graduates real-world experience and a comfortable transition from academia to the professional world.
This project was accomplished in four phases and required over 1 year to complete. The project was to provide mechanical systems in both new construction and building retrofit to this historic Cincinnati theatre facility. Three adjacent spaces and new construction on former parking lot were completed to created one cohesive space. This space included administrative offices, a scene shop, lobby and bar, and performance area, upon completion. Through value engineering, EnviroControl Systems was about to add lighting to the catwalk and theater performance area.
